Thanks! Both were a big hit, especially the coffee cake. My dad was in the area, dropping off my brother at his school, and came over for dinner. He said that it had a crisp exterior and a flaky interior. The inside was really moist! I actually managed to cream the butter and the sugar together, which I think made a big difference in the texture.
