I am carefully not reading most of your post because of the spoilers. I'm still only 4ish chapters into it...

Lecturers say such weird things at times.

Hope your eye feels better soon.

Fair enough. I've been rabidly reading spoiler posts since I finished.

I love my Novel lecturer, he is so awesome.

I hope it does too, I think Katie does as well because I was whining to her all day about it.

Oooh, now you're making me want to race through it, just so I can join in all the merriment.

I'm sure does out of concern for your well-being more than just because she wants you to shut up :-P

Bad form on giving away fluffy owl toys, Borders. Bad form.

So, so true. Borders didn't know.

Tonks and Lupin's deaths were so incredibly pointless that I didn't even notice them dying at first.

YES.

Luna - You are so gorgeous. I want you and Dean to get together and be all cute and crazy.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

I have been waiting for their kiss for eight years and it was SPECTACULAR.

Is this really the moment?

Was I the only one who thought she was offering him sex on his birthday?

No.

Did Hermione get her parents back?

I would like to know this also. Maybe they moved here. Everyone, inspect your dentists.

- WHERE WAS ZACHARIAS SMITH?

He pushed in front of the first-years to evacuate. Good sense of self-preservation, that one.

- DON'T DIE, LAVENDER.

My friends' theory is that she is either dead or now a werewolf. Though perhaps she just likes her meat rare now.

- I didn't like that Harry etc. were throwing around unforgivables like candy. Not on, Harry. Not on.

No.

- Trelawney's whole EAT CRYSTAL BALL stance.

HELL YES!

Which I was annoyed about at first because she/Harry basically dismissed him as a lamer pansy but I feel better about it now. The paragraph in my updated bio for him about that was fun to write:

"When Potter deigned to return to school, and it became clear that they were going to have to fight, at first Zacharias was determined that he would stay and help. The idea of leaving his friends in mortal peril while he dallied off to frolic through meadows of flowers was laughable at best; he'd never be able to look any of them in the eye again, presuming of course that they survived to look upon, which was all rather up in the air. After brief thought though, and seeing how many other people were leaving, he decided that staying to die in Saint Potter's name would be incredibly stupid and he was sure he could work things out with his friends later."

Ah, bless.

Convince me not to write the epic saga in which ( ... )

Is this really the moment? was awesome. I want it to be my catch phrase.

Lavender is not a werewolf, I got the impression that Trelawney attacked him with a crystal ball before he got the chance to maul her. AND SHE IS NOT DEAD.

I have started planning the epic saga, which will probably just be a oneshot. I plan on including Dean/Luna and their crazy beautiful babies.

Hahaha, totally agree about the Borders owl thing. I was very relieved that I got my copy from Whitcoulls. Hurrah!!

WRITE THE LAV/ZACHARIUS FIC DO IT DO IT.

To be honest, I didn't cry over anyone's deaths ... that makes me feel so bad, but they were just so sudden I guess I didn't have time to really think it through. I did cry during The Prince's Tale though, when Harry found out about Lily and Snape and that he had to die. That was ridiculously sad.

LILY/SNAPE!! SQUEE!! It explains a lot, if you ask me.

R/HR WIBBLE. Thank God she ended this well. I'm really glad all the lead-up throughout the series ended satisfactorily (is that even a word? Lol). I love Ron in this book ... I was so upset when he left them and was being all grumpy. Thank God he came back.

I really didn't like the epilogue to be honest; it seemed very fanfic-y, peculiarly enough. I wonder who Draco got married to? And what happened to George after Fred died?? Gah I really want to know!!

Well, my little owl is a reminder of Hedwig who I loved so I like havingh her around.

I am a sap so I cried ridiculously hard over Fred and then Hedwig and Dobby. I ddin't cry during the Prince's Tale though. I thought it was done better than I expected.

Is this really the moment? Oh man, Ron and Hermione are ultimate. I made sad wibbling noises in front of the kids I was babysitting for when Ron left.

Lol, I seem to be fairly alone in my enjoyment of the epilogue. I just loved the little moments - Ron setting up his daughter and Draco's son, the chat about Slytherin, Draco Malfoy with a receeding hairline...

Glad you felt ok sunday!

i love neville! neville was win.
I cant beleive she killed Tonks and Lupin! she didnt have to! it was pointless! Now Teddy is like the new harry potter, but without the life threatening quest and stuff. I WAS SO PISSED OFF!
i thought it was quite funny that i got a hedwig toy with my book. poor kids.
The fact that Harry didnt actually die felt like a bit of a cop out on JKR's part...but i guess she couldnt just kill him.
and in the end, i didnt actually care about their kids, i wanted to know how George got on without Fred, and if McGonagall was made headmistress, and whether or not they went back and did NEWTS, and if Hermionie got her parents back, and how they re-built everything, and if Harry was an auror....i could keep going. so many loose ends!
this is awesome:http://sam-storyteller.livejournal.com/2005/07/07/

I'm glad I did as well. Thank you for being awesome and making sure I was okay. That has never happened to me before. Hope you had a good night :)

Neville was in it less so he was just concentrated awesomeness when he was in it.
I'm a bit upset about Tonks and Lupin but at least Teddy will be well taken care of by Andromeda and Harry and the clan of Weasleys.
I would have liked a chapter directly after timewise in which there was a new minister for magic (Go Kingsley) and Hogwarts was repasired and Hermione got on the case about species rights and so on and they sorted out NEWTS and all that. But lame. I am still liking the epilogue for the sap value. And my theory is that Harry decides 'fuck auroring' and is a stay-at-home Dad who researches defence spells freelance and tutors youngsters in defence over the summer and just lives the quiet life while Ginny goes all kick-ass and Auror-mom.
