Please, try not to worry. As someone who has undergone several surgeries and long hospitalizations, I can tell you that what you feel is normal. It will pass. Just don't let it get you. The important thing is that you'll going to get better.
It's a great pity about the festival, but you'll go next year and at least your back won't hurt anymore. ♥

I know missing the film festival is hard for you. :( The emotional stuff is a residual of the pain and the surgery and it calms back down to normal after a while. I'm glad your aunt is taking care of you. I love you lots!

If it's any consolation, Hypocrisy will probably be back at some point. But I can definitely understand missing something you're looking forward to.

Your feelings and worries are completely justified (I work in healthcare, and I know that I'd be freaked out if I had to have surgery. And medical bills are scary.) so don't feel bad about feeling bad. (Does that make sense?)
I hope that your recovery is quick and easy, and that you can go back to doing the things you love soon. *hugs*
