Supplemental Information about Gnocem.
The Gnocem are humans who decided that enough was enough with getting downtrodden about what was plaguing them (see: Second Impact, PTSD, etc.) and they decided to fit themselves with cybernetics to be improved human beings. Unfortunately, down the way, they lost their humanity as they were obsessed with constantly trying to improve and better themselves, so they started to act savagely and attack humans so as to add numbers to their forces.
They started out as this and fitted with a few laser guns and other weapons in their arms and legs, scanners in their eyes and improved neural capabilities so as to think logically and more clearly so as to get rid of the negative feelings. Though, the more they improved upon themselves with new technology, the more they lost of their humanity.
And some of them would be unrecognizable to the point of achieving a new name, the Geo-Gnocem. They looked monstrous and bullied their lesser equivalents into doing their grunt work while they worked silently in the shadows. As they were mobilized, the Geo-Gnocem's main weapon, a modified halberd that was capable of producing great physical harm on their enemies and sometimes outright killing what they considered a lesser species (humans.) This would become a problem for the GAP as the more attacks happened, the more they were mobilized and it wore on their morale and psyche.
Those who ascended in the ranks would be known as Generals and Leaders. Their look was much sleeker and they commanded their troops to go after those who opposed them. They're outfitted with many weapons inside of them and are much deadlier than the Gnocem and Geo-Gnocem combined and are considered to have lost their humanity long ago since they were the first ones who decided to inflict this upon themselves. However, those who proved themselves worthy in either their ability to perform orders to the best of their abilities or kill count could also rise in the ranks.
