San Francisco Day 1

Today I played in the BCD pairs with Kevin.  We came in 3rd overall.  I was somewhat apprehensive about doing BCD because I haven’t in so long, but the field was competent and fun.

In the first session I played N.  We were doing pretty well but had had to weather a couple of bottoms.  The last round was pretty wild.

I have no idea what character encoding you're using, but they're showing up as horizontal lines, vertical lines, checkboxes, and the letter 'd'.

I'm getting the spades and clubs, but the diamonds and hearts show up as ?

In my firefox they appear fine. Though, why use "d" for diamond when there's a character in the same set of extended goodies?

Bidding 5c on the first board seems like an action I would frequently associate with Kevin. Some light should click on wrt "hey let's let them use their 33 points in a partscore".
