Ashland was quite lovely, though the plays weren't as utterly transporting as Bourne's Swan Lake. Sometimes I have the feeling that I enjoy the plays partly because I want to enjoy them so much, or else I just get vibes that few others do. angelolo is very picky

i loved Earnest and i thought the play of Anne Frank was a lot better than her diary. I couldn't stand her in the diary and she was better in the play.

and as for great america:

did u see the giant turtle?!?!?!? XD it's so cute
i wasted $10 trying to get it (and failed) :(

I didn't like anne frank! I thought it was so cliche and sentimentally manipulative. in fact, I thought the "play" itself was so lame, that I felt embarrassed at myself towards the end when I cried :( yes, I cried! and I was sooo embarrassed because, as art, I think the play was so mediocre. I loved the set though. the production itself was nice, but I guess they had quite a bit of money ( ... )
