01 --- For Altea

Vastly different from Altea. I hope it will fair well in my absence, but I am reasonably certain that under the watchful eye of my dear sister, all shall be at peace and in time, as it once was ( Read more... )

I'd settle yourself in for a nice case of culture shock. Eee hee, I guarantee that your perception of normalcy will change before your time here is through.

Ah, and I'm Midna. Welcome.

I am fully aware of the contrast between this institution of tutelage versus my homeland, however, rather than spurning the idea, look forward to it.

Miss Midna, a privilege, I assure you.

Well aren't you the well prepared individual? I commend your enthusiasm. My one key advice would be wary of charitable baked good sales unless you're up for a surprise.

Just Midna is fine, Marth. Unless you're more comfortable with formalities, I suppose.

I had assumed charitable cases were for the benefit of others, rather than a use of surprise against others.

Very well then, Midna. I do not mind either way. What else can you tell me of this wondrous place?

you speak rather eloquently. The technology here is very different, is it not?

Ah... yes! That does seem to be the case. I find it a rather stark contrast to my home, and yet so very fascinating all the same. It will be but some time before I am accustomed to it.

You type pretty good for someone who's just learned how to use computers. Name's Sonic the Hedgehog. If you need any help, I'm the guy to ask.

It is imperative that I be able to pick up new experiences remotely quickly. I must confess that I did write out a variety of things before truly becoming sufficient. I imagine it will be some time before I am capable of making such entries in an efficient manner.

Such is necessary sometimes, especially against difficult times. I would not make an appropriate leader for my people if I could not present myself correspondingly.

Advice for newcomers? Make sure to be real nice to the lunch bear! Drivers' Ed is one of the most fun classes you'll ever take. If you're at all athletic, try out for the football team. Don't believe Nester or Orange Kid when they tell you that they are the coolest guys in school.

Other than that, my name is Knuckles the Echidna - pleased to meet you!

Pardon me, but did you really just say that a bear serves food here? That's very quaint to discover. Certainly something worth writing home about.

I must admit that I am looking forward to the classes I am to attend in my stay here. I do also hold some enthusiasm with regard to the other inhabitants. It is a wish of mine to meet as many as I can.

It's a privilege, I assure you, Knuckles.

Sure did - His name is Nancy and he's a cybernetic Ursaring to be real specific about it. Great guy! He gets on well with everyone, mostly. There's a lot of us non-humans around which can be a little tricky for some new people to deal with.

Most folks around here are pretty friendly, so, meeting new people isn't gonna be a problem, I'm sure. There's a lot of really great classes, too! Looking at the way you use words, you'll probably enjoy creative writing with Professor Xatu, and there's an English Literature class with Professor Chase. (I don't take it but I've heard about the class.) And Miss Blacky's Psychology class is pretty cool too. Oh, and Piloting with Professor Goose.

Privelege and pleasure are all mine, buddy! If there's anything else you wanna know about, feel free to ask.

I suppose I should not be too surprised by such beings. Where I come from, there are beings known as Mamkutes. With some time, I am certain I will be able to understand the differences well enough.

Many of those classes do sound most interesting. I look forward into taking the time of deciding what will be appropriate for my people and for myself.

I do have another question. What is the routine schedule for those who have only recently come? Assuming there is one present, that is.

Wow, what an introduction! It took me minutes to read! Hehehe. Anyway, my name is Pit. It's nice to meet you, Marth. So, what does Altea look like? You've got me curious!

I do apologize for that. I must come across as quite verbose, which I imagine is quite natural for one of similar backgrounds. Quite the pleasure, Pit.

Altea is simply a kingdom, a castle, with a town's outskirts. Across the water to the east is an island of Talis, where a very good friend of mine lives and watches over her own people. It is a large world, and although I have traveled across it, I am certain there is much I did not see. Altea seems so small compared to the rest of it, however.

It's alright. I know a few people who are like that. No problems!

Worlds are a big place, I think. And you must be young, so you have a lot of time to venture out and see the things you didn't see before. The more I hear about these new worlds, the more I want to see them for myself!

Do you have a big castle? Or... a small castle?

It seems that all worlds are massive. The size is not so much what matters, however. It is more the quality of the lives led and the people leading those lives. Your assessment is correct, though. I am young. Perhaps it is my youth among my tradition that holds me to this desire of seeking out worlds. I do share the sentiments.

Well... Altea is a bit located upon an island, so I suppose one could say it is not so large. It seems larger than Talis, and yet somehow much smaller than Akaneia's, which is led by Princess Nina. It may be larger than the academy itself, or what I've seen of it thus far.
