01 --- For Altea

Nov 12, 2009 21:41

Vastly different from Altea. I hope it will fair well in my absence, but I am reasonably certain that under the watchful eye of my dear sister, all shall be at peace and in time, as it once was ( Read more... )

Advice for newcomers? Make sure to be real nice to the lunch bear! Drivers' Ed is one of the most fun classes you'll ever take. If you're at all athletic, try out for the football team. Don't believe Nester or Orange Kid when they tell you that they are the coolest guys in school.

Other than that, my name is Knuckles the Echidna - pleased to meet you!

Pardon me, but did you really just say that a bear serves food here? That's very quaint to discover. Certainly something worth writing home about.

I must admit that I am looking forward to the classes I am to attend in my stay here. I do also hold some enthusiasm with regard to the other inhabitants. It is a wish of mine to meet as many as I can.

It's a privilege, I assure you, Knuckles.

Sure did - His name is Nancy and he's a cybernetic Ursaring to be real specific about it. Great guy! He gets on well with everyone, mostly. There's a lot of us non-humans around which can be a little tricky for some new people to deal with.

Most folks around here are pretty friendly, so, meeting new people isn't gonna be a problem, I'm sure. There's a lot of really great classes, too! Looking at the way you use words, you'll probably enjoy creative writing with Professor Xatu, and there's an English Literature class with Professor Chase. (I don't take it but I've heard about the class.) And Miss Blacky's Psychology class is pretty cool too. Oh, and Piloting with Professor Goose.

Privelege and pleasure are all mine, buddy! If there's anything else you wanna know about, feel free to ask.

I suppose I should not be too surprised by such beings. Where I come from, there are beings known as Mamkutes. With some time, I am certain I will be able to understand the differences well enough.

Many of those classes do sound most interesting. I look forward into taking the time of deciding what will be appropriate for my people and for myself.

I do have another question. What is the routine schedule for those who have only recently come? Assuming there is one present, that is.

((Sorry this tag is late - work has been kicking my butt. X_x ))

Mamkutes? I've never heard of those. I'll have to look them up. I guess the most common non-human around here are Pokemon. I have a lot of friends who're Pokemon but they're all different kinds.

There isn't really much of a set schedule - You pick the classes you wanna take and show up when they're on. Other than that, there's a lot of recreational clubs you can take part in and facilities around the school to enjoy, like the Gym and Arena.

Hey, looks like we're gonna be rooming!

[OoC: It's quite all right.]

I have never met anything referred to as a "Pokémon." The Mamkutes are a race of people who can transform between human and dragon forms. I have never seen them anywhere else other than my homeland, so it surprises me not in the least that no one knows of them here.

I will look forward to looking around the area and acquainting myself with these varied recreational activities. And it certainly does seem we will be staying with one another for a time. Let us make the very best of it, shall we?

You'll meet some soon enough, if you haven't already. And that's pretty cool - maybe they have humanization technology or magic like they teach at the school here. I'm an Echidna but I can take on a human form too.

And I'm sure we can make the best of it - believe me, almost anyone would be better than my last two room mates. I'm pretty easy-going when it comes to the dorm so we should get along fine. Just ask if you wanna borrow any of my things and don't mind my pet - He's a giant Spiderbird and it can freak some people out, but he's gentle as a kitten.

I do not have the faintest idea of what an Echidna is. Altea is not home to creatures of that sort, and I do not believe I saw such a think in Akaneia either. It seems I am learning so very much and I have only recently come. It does uphold such a strong faith to have in others and their kindnesses.

I was unaware anyone was allowed to keep animals here. Do you suppose they would allow Pegasus horses as well? I did not see any on my way here. For the nature of our shared room, I will perform to the utmost and ensure that I do not invade your personal space. I have not brought many things with me, simple artifacts from home.
