There's a fairly decent set of articles on http://makeinternettv.org/ about what you need from a technical side to do a video podcast. They're PC-centric, though their wiki (at http://www.mitvwiki.org/) is user-editable, and I daresay someone's going to add Mac support to it.

'traffic'. When we hear this word, we tend to think of "that stuff that we drive through", aka "that stuff that makes us late and irritable and and miserable". Interactions between equipment...

Every idea has already been used. However, not every character has already been used. Characters make the story. Ideas merely provide a means for the characters to interact.
If you're writing stories, focus on the characters involved. Focus on how they interact with themselves and each other, using the environments created.
