Stil cruising at over 2K words a day and I finally managed to log on to the NaNo site.  It lumped my word total all into one day.  It makes the chart that shows my progress look ucky.  Oh, well...

The spewing of words continues as does my inability to access the NaNo official site.

I am now 12.68% done.  I am 34% percent tired of tracking these stats. 

Yes, I'm spamming my own journal but I feel this is a good way to keep me on track.  Besides, it's about time I actually used this thing.  I can't log on to the NaNo site to save my life anyway.

Considering I only (yeah, only) have to average about 1,667 words a day, I'm feeling pretty good.

Woohoo!  2,026 words in a little over an hour and a half of writing!  I so freaking rock!

Only 47,974 words to go...

So...tomorrow's November 1st.  I'm still committed to doing this thing but I'm feeling increasingly crazy for trying it.  It's in the realm of possibility.  I have a plot mostly worked out.  When I'm really moving, I do a little over a thousand words an hour.  Feasible?  Yeah.  Gonna happen?  Uh....

A few weeks ago, I got a very nice email asking to translate a few of my Final Fantasy VII stories into Italian.  Today, there was a follow up email stating one of the stories was up and I've already gotten comments.  Can't speak a word of Italian but it's really frickin' cool just seeing the story there.  Naturally, I've been babelfishing it like ( Read more... )

I've been reading The Terror by Dan Simmons lately.  It's an amazing horror novel that while featuring copious amounts of gore, is much more about atmosphere and the humanity (and inhumanity) of the characters.  It's also a great piece of historical fiction.
