I hadn't read this until now either. A very good article. I really enjoy the play Optima gives his name, plus the tasteful star.

It makes me scared. Because it made me waver irrationally over my choice of candidates.

And if I waver, then what about the unwashed masses?

I was also happy to see that someone else agrees with me about Georgia being the best online font.

It's definitely interesting. This is the first campaign where I've seen widespread analysis of the branding and its psychological impact... last election year, everyone was remarking on YouTube.

I think people have been far more educated in the last ten years as to the subtle manipulations of branding.

It doesn't hurt that we've gained a layman's knowledge of mcluhan through the paradigm shifts in the medium of the internet.

I think we might just be getting smarter, or else way more concerned with minutiae.

I agree with the review of the McCain logo I saw that said it looks like a brand of cheap aftershave.
