Mireille had left the Capulet house hours prior, letting Juliet and Tybalt work on the decorations alone. Her main priority had been to assist Juliet in the kitchen and, afterwards, with the formal arrangement of plates and glasses for the guests. At home, she'd went through a change of outfit - from the simple, black dress she had been wearing most of the day to something more colourful and appropriate for socialising. At first she considered making use of the dress in which she had arrived, but she's well aware that it will not blend in with the fashion of Adstringéndum. There is no reason to attract attention to oneself, not of that kind, at least.

Eyeing the sign in front of the house, she glances up at Jean Louis, her hands resting against the crook of his arm as usually when they are attending public events together. This is nothing like any other party they have visited before.

He's been focusing on other things for the past days; his project is coming along nicely, though he has a long way to go. He's not a chemist, after all. Like she promised, Mireille has kept from over-involving herself in this... event. Party. Whatever you call a social gathering meant to celebrate a five-year-old.

The sign basically says it all, doesn't it? But he doesn't have anything better to do and - of course - alliances are important. They have little else in this place. With regards to formality, however, he's aimed somewhere in the middle. He's wearing black trousers and a shirt of some dark-red nuance. It's a pleasant enough mixture of formal and informal and in this place, you can't really be overly picky.

He meets Mireille eyes and smiles, just a bit sharply. "This party, at least, shouldn't feel like a trial to you."

Her eyes narrow. At home, she had made it a point to excuse herself from any event that she knew was only for show, only for the sake of being seen and deemed authentic. Eventually, he had ordered Clara to act as chaperone - unfitting as she might have been - and Mirelle had been forced to live up to her marital duties. In full.

"No," she responds, words softer than her tone. Juliet is the busy recipient of Bubbles' appreciation and what tactless guests wouldn't they make if they did not greet their hosts and the guest of honour first? Letting Jean Louis steer them in their direction, she tightens her hold on his arm slightly. The shirt he's wearing for the occasion is not of the same quality as they would have found them back in Luxembourg, but it is not as plebeian as the short-sleeved ones want has forced him to wear recently either. "In this case, I am more concerned for you than myself."

He smiles. Both because they're approaching their hosts for the night - and because she's right. As opposed to her, however, Jean Louis never feels bad for wanting or disliking something.

"Kind of you," he says, with too much mockery to sound sincere. "I'm sure I'll live."

Bubbles made sure to fly home in time for lunch, just as Juliet had asked her to. She'd had fun sleeping at Riku's house, but she always liked having lunch with Juliet. Her Adstring Mommy knew how to cut the crusts off the sandwiches just right and they always had the most fun talking together and giggling. She wondered if Tybalt might join them for lunch, too. That was always fun and-

Wait. What's that? Juliet's house looked different somehow. Festive! And there were people outside!

It looked like a PARTY! Parties were so much fun and so exciting and so wonderful and she LOVED parties!!!

...But why was there a party? She hadn't known there'd be a party, but that was definitely a party, there!

Wait! The banner said something! She read it very carefully (because her reading wasn't always the best). 'For Bubbles', it read. For Bubbles? Why, Bubbles was HER! This party... It was a party for her?

Wait! That was right! Juliet SAID there'd be a party when she got all better! And she HAD gotten all better, hadn't she? She had!! So this was the party Juliet had promised!!

Why, that made it... THE BEST PARTY EVER!!!!!

Bubbles zipped to the house - to the PARTY! - as quick as she could, clearing that last bit of distance in about a second.

"Juliet!" she cried excitedly, basically just appearing right in front of her from out of nowhere. "It's a party, Juliet! It's my party, right? Like you said? A party for me??"

Juliet was used to Bubbles dropping in from seemingly nowhere by now. She grinned, shifting the package to one arm and reaching out to embrace the child in the other.

"Yes, Bubbles, just like I promised you! You are the guest of honor today!"

She held up the package containing the purple dress so the girl could see. "And I have made you a special dress for the occasion."

Tybalt had done his part in getting everything ready, under Juliet's fluttering supervision. Though he tried to hide it, he was excited as well, and nervous that Bubbles would indeed like the meager offerings they were able to put forth. The carved horse was wrapped in the brightest colored paper he could find, and set off to one side. There would be time for that later, maybe when there were more presents so his didn't stand out so much.

He found himself a place to stand, arms crossed over his chest, where he could watch as people arrived.

Usagi slid carefully up to just beside Tybalt and gave him a long, dry look.

"Hey," she finally informed him, "It's a party. You're supposed to smile!"

Tybalt gave Usagi a sidelong look and then cracked a slow, small smile.

"Just making sure things go right."

Because this party being perfect is Very Important.

Usagi grinned. "It will! Because you worked very hard to make sure of it. And you did it all for Bubbles, and she's already this happy." A nod to where Bubbles was flitting among the guests, the very picture of Happy Little Girl.

"Aang!" Bubbles zipped over and almost tackled him with an excited hug. "Did you come for the party? Did you? Did you? It's a party for ME, Aang! A party all for me! Isn't that exciting? I'm so excited!!"

In case Aang hadn't noticed or anything, Bubbles was very, very EXCITED.

Bubbles is, of course, the QUEEN of subtlety.

"You did? You did!!" She hugged him again, so happy that he came here just for her party! "That's great, Aang!! I'm so happy you came! Is Appa here, too??"

Hanna had a heck of a time finding something for Bubbles. He was kind of lucky that he had been looking before the party had been announced. He had managed to find some beat up dinosaurs, but as is they wouldn't really be much of a gift. But, popping the heads off of them proved an easy fix. Though that wasn't the girliest present ever so he had drawn her a picture as well.

So, with presents in hand, Hanna knocked on the door of Tybalt and Juliet's home.

How had the door closed? Juliet turned from where she was refilling one of the pitchers, and hurried to open it. She smiled when she saw the young man standing there.

"Hanna! I am so pleased to see you!"

She curtsied to him, then pushed the door open wide, propping an unused chair against it.

"The guest of honor is floating around somewhere. She has been most pleased thus far."

"Hey! Awesome, I need to find her, got some things for her."

He gives her a big smile and a little bow in return, looking around.

"it looks nice in here by the way. And by the way, don't forget you totally owe me a dance."

Juliet's smile only widened.

"That is most sweet of you, Hanna. She will adore whatever you have brought her, I know."

That he approved of the decorations made her feel much better about them. It was difficult to decorate with their limited resources. At the mention of their dance, she giggled.

"I will not forget. I intend that we will."
