Spike strolled up to where Alice told him to meet her, a little dismayed by the rain. There were bad memories connected to rain for one thing, and for another, it was hard to keep a cigarette lit when there was always water falling on it. Sure he wasn't a big fan of rain, but there was nothing he could do about it now. Maybe it would stop some time soon.

When he saw Alice sitting on that rock, he wondered just what type of opponent she'd be. The fact that she'd challenged him led him to believe that she'd be no easy win. He was slightly curious about the glove he saw her remove and replace.

"Yo," he said to her, his hands shoved in his pockets.

Rain didn't bother Alice. While it could be inconvenient when one was trying to line up a shot through a sniper scope and heavy rain could mask the sound of someone approaching, she didn't mind. Even though she was far more violent and even cruel about things than Ginia was, Alice was still a professional and considered working in rain and poor weather in general to be a part of being a bounty hunter ( ... )

Wow. Spike had not been expecting that. His guard was down, and in addition to being physically kicked, he mentally kicked himself for not being able to see that coming. After landing hard on his ass, he scrambled into a pouncing position, his fingers tensing in anticipation, and he eyed her, waiting for her next move. "Thanks for the warning," he said, adrenaline now coursing through his veins. He wore a devious smile; her surprise attack flipped a switch in him.

After the leg-sweep, Alice bounded back onto her feet and into a defensive position. Had Spike been a real target, she would have taken the chance to shoot or stab him, but as this was a friendly spar and she liked playing, she gave him a chance to recover and get back on his feet. A smile faintly graced her face, though she refused to let any cockiness get in the way; that was also a quick way to end up on the ground.

Alice began to stalk toward him with all the strength and grace of a tigress stalking her prey before she snapped another kick at him, this time aimed at his side.
