"The ladies aren't here yet," Mello corrected him with a smirk. "And don't get your hopes up too much, this might be just a men's party."

Amusingly, only males had replied to Mello's entry. Mello supposed that girls would rather spend time doing girly shit like pajama parties, where they could discuss what boy was the cutest. Clearly, Adstringendum needed more real and fun women.

It was like something was completely out of place. The image of such an innocent and unstained girl contrasting with the soft lights and half-ruined walls was quite a disturbing one. Perhaps she misunderstood Mello's post and thought that this would be a party full of balloons and sweets. He should have made the point clearer.

"......"

Mello offered his best smile and approached the girl. "Welcome. How can I help you? Are you lost?" Which was a subtle way to indicate that she shouldn't be there. Not like Mello expected her to get it, though.

Should everyone make their own thread or should they just jump in into the conversations?^^

((ooc: Both work. If you want to reply to a certain thread, feel free to do so. Or if you want to start your own thread, that's very okay too~))

Tieria wasn't really fond of parties and if he attended one, they usually had a reason - might it be investigating something or celebrate someone's birthday - the festivals were the one exception. It seemed Mello wanted to have him here, though, for reasons unknown to him, aside that he was 'fond' of him. That Mello had to bring up Lockon constantly in their conversations didn't really help.

The other reason why he attended the party was to get rid of his thought for the time being. What Setsuna had told him about his future was still left with a kind of heavy feeling within him, and he would have loved to talk with someone, perhaps Lockon about it, but Lockon was pretty happy at the moment, so he couldn't.

As Tieria spotted Matt, he decided to rather hide himself in a very dark corner of the room.

Tieria's attempts to hide from Matt didn't work much with Mello. The blond approached him with a smirk, amused at Tieria's shy (and quite cute) behaviour.

"Lockon isn't here yet," was his way to greet the glasses boy, mostly as a way to indicate that Tieria's presence hadn't gone unnoticed. "But you aren't planning to wait for him there, are you?"

"Mello", Tieria just stated plainly, looking at the blond-haired boy in a quite serious manner. "I know he isn't here yet and yes, perhaps I do intent to wait for him here", he said and gritted his teeth. Did Mello have to make it so obvious that he was there? He really wasn't one for crowds and if Matt was to spot him now...

Daxter swaggered in the door, human but still obviously himself and looking for a party, with a box under one arm. "Heeeey, Mello! Ya coulda just used my place ta party," he said, looking around the place. "After all, you were there first." He placed the box on the bar counter and leaned against it. "This place ain't bad though."

Mello couldn't determine who looked stranger, human Daxter or ottsel Daxter. Perhaps he'd gotten too used to the boy's ottsel self; it was more hilarious, at least.

"Believe me, you wouldn't have liked it the next morning," Mello said with a smirk. "I'm glad to see you here. Want a drink?"

"Ya never know," the redhead replied. "But ya know I'm always happy ta party with ya man." He smirked, the near-comical overbite becoming ever more prominent. "I'd like that." He was watching the door somewhat, obviously expecting someone.

Al waved at Daxter when he spotted him, heading over with a grin. Finally, someone he was comfortable around. He was carrying what looked like a sealed water bottle, all the better to make sure he didn't drink anything alcoholic this time. The last time had been a disaster.

"Dax!"

Cassidy poked her head into the pub, completely unsure of going in and enjoying the party. But she did want to, so she eventually stepped in and to the side of the door, canine ears pressed almost flat against her skull and tail held in her hands. There were people she recognized from over the network, but not really anyone she personally knew...which was fine since she was trying to meet people, but...she was nervous just the same.

A second female had dared to step into the wolf's mouth, and she looked just as shy -if not more scared and wary- than the other one.

Her doggy ears took Mello by surprise for a few seconds, but after all the things he'd witnessed in this place, his small shock didn't last for long.

"Hey there. Up for a drink?"

If young ladies insisted in defiling their own innocence by coming to such parties, so be it.

Of course Cassidy was of legal drinking age, but her usual demeanor made her appear less so. Her ears perked at the offer and she considered Mello for a moment. "What do you have?" she asked finally, releasing her tail to let it swing behind her. Her dog tag flashed in the light.

"Nothing that doesn't have alcohol in it," he replied, keeping his smirk. "I hope that your tolerance to alcoholic drinks is good; if it's not, you might still get lucky. Some people brought water and juice with them."

It sounded silly that Mello's party would be filled with kids bringing in bottles of water, but oh well. He'd said that everyone was invited, and that meant everyone.
