I looked into my ASGC folder tonight - something I haven't done in forever. And I found this. I forgot I wrote it. For those of you who don't follow the ASGC Universe, you should probably stop reading here (& start at the beginning), as you won't be able to follow. And to my ASGC readers: I realize this ficlet is a huge jump into the future, made worse by the fact that there's still some parts in the middle missing. But I promise I will put them up eventually. I will, I will, I will!
Summary & Warnings & A/N: As is true for the entire ASGC universe, this story is as angst-free as all previous parts.

Ficlet from the ASGC Universe:
THE NEW GUY
Britin, October 2027
Emma breezed into the kitchen where the entire family was assembled, dragging a guy into the room behind her neither of them had seen before. In typical Emma fashion she rushed through introductions, pointing at every family member as she explained, “Nate, this is my dad Brian, my other dad Justin, my BFF and twin sister Alex - and yeah, I know, we don't look alike but she's still my twin sister - and that over there is her boyfriend slash our brother Gus. Everyone, say 'hi' to Nate. He's the new guy in my music class.”
Nate's eyes had been growing steadily bigger and bigger with every introductions and were now roughly the size of saucers as he dazedly waved at them all and smiled awkwardly, none of which Emma seemed to notice. She grabbed him by his wrist and pulled him with her as she called out, “We're gonna go kill some zombies on your PlayStation, Dads.”
The twins' upstairs bedrooms were off-limits for all male visitors as per Brian's decree, so sooner or later every one of their friends or school mates ended up in the entertainment room, where Emma was headed towards now, already halfway out the door.
“Leave the door--”
“--door open,” Emma parrotted. “Yeah, I know.” The eyeroll could not be seen, but it was definitely heard.
Despite Brian's best attempt at a death glare directed towards Nate's retreating back, they were practically gone before the family recovered enough to react, not to mention wave or say anything in return. Still slightly dazed, as one would expect to be after being whiplashed by Emma's talk-ten-miles-per-minute personality, they could only listen to the retreating voices as Emma and Nate moved away down the hall.
“Dads as in plural? Twin sister?”
“Uh-huh,” Emma confirmed.
“Boyfriend slash brother?”
“Yeah,” she said.
“Man, you weren't kidding when you said your family is weird,” the guy - Nate - muttered.
“Told you not to argue with me. When it comes to family relations, I'm always gonna win. Get used to it. Come on, I think I still haven't made it to level 10 in Zombie Island.”
Emma's voice faded and everyone in the kitchen shared a glance and a shrug - Emma was a force to be reckoned with. Small and delicate and always so quick to smile, she possessed a sheer never ending source of energy and an inexhaustible interest in everything traditionally considered 'boys stuff' while at the same time being impossibly likable. A first encounter with her often felt like being mowed over by a steamroller.
“He's gonna be a total goner for her before the evening ends,” Gus commented dryly. Justin shrugged and nodded in silent agreement and chanced a look at Brian.
Brian, who up to this moment had still been glaring daggers at the now empty hallway, directed his stare at Gus for a moment before turning to Justin. “Told you we should have put her in a girls only school.”
Justin rolled his eyes. “Hey, Brian, I hear chastity belts are on sale at Bergdorf's,” he teased him.
Alex glanced at Gus and pushed herself away from the counter, mock-whispering, “And I think this is our cue to leave.”
“Where are you two off to?” Brian grumbled.
“Burgers, movie, and a rave,” Alex couldn't help but tease him a little more.
“Not funny,” Brian answered through clenched teeth.
“Yes, it is,” Alex replied as she skipped towards him and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “Bye, Daddy. Love you.”
“Home before midnight,” Brian admonished while returning Alex's hug with one arm, but directing his admonishment towards Gus. “She has school tomorrow.”
Gus refrained from rolling his eyes, but only just. Instead he bit his lip and saluted.
Alex kissed Justin goodbye as well before she and Gus left the room and left their parents alone.
Justin put aside the drawing pad he was idly scribbling on and walked over to Brian, crowding into his personal space until their chests were flush with each other. “You're hot when you're being a dad.” His fingers aimlessly played with Brian's top buttons.
Brian brushed a few stray strands away from Justin's forehead and used the grip on his hair to tilt Justin's head up. “You mean to say there are actually situations in which you don't find me hot?” Brian asked and added, as Justin opened his mouth to reply, “Think long and hard before you answer 'cause I think it might be a viable reason for divorce.”
“Brian?” Justin asked instead.
“Yeah?”
“We have the upstairs to ourselves for the next couple hours...”
The End.
