i could live in sevilla. and i would love to live in triana specifically. it's such an amazing little neighborhood. it's so quiet and unassuming and tiny. the food is delicious and inexpensive (unless you eat along the river) and the people are really nice. it's just a lot of families and no one harasses you or is loud. all of sevilla seems to be

Oh, I miss it so much.
Also, I remember someone telling me that the architects came to the Real alcazar to be inspired when they were building La Alhambra. The first time I visited it, it was rainy and cold, and I stopped and got a coffee in the little cafe in the corner of the gardens. I talked with the girl working there for a few minutes, and it was the first time I really felt like I would be okay in Spain. It's such a special place for me because of it.

i can definitely see why sevilla is a place to live and fall in love with. and how weird is it to look at your photos of places that i've searched on flickr? not just la maestranza, either. though that, aaah. the beauty of it is dwarfed by all of the other amazing buildings you've gone to, but there's just something about it.
