i could live in sevilla. and i would love to live in triana specifically. it's such an amazing little neighborhood. it's so quiet and unassuming and tiny. the food is delicious and inexpensive (unless you eat along the river) and the people are really nice. it's just a lot of families and no one harasses you or is loud. all of sevilla seems to be

okay so like - it's got tourists that go there but when i was in sevilla it was literally so jam-packed with people who were genuinely there to watch some fucking great flamenco that you could barely move. and when they were singing/dancing if anyone started talking the whole part of the crowd nearby would shush them. It was such an environment respectful of the artists that it was... i don't know, a seriously magical experience. also hot. like, seriously, i have seen few things that made me want to make out with someone more. (and then ended up making me make out with someone one of the nights, but that's a different story)
oh and after the show ends, the performers all went out to the back plaza behind the bar and played some more, and danced a little, only just for them, and the tourists all left and we stayed and watched and drank and talked and it was fucking amazing and i love sevilla so much it's ridiculous. it's like how i pictured spain to be in my wildest dreams when i first heard about it when i was really little.
In conclusion:
seriously. i fucking love this place.
