I Need to Get Out of Here

Sep 25, 2007 11:00

It's only 11:02 and already I am bored out of my mind. I've also got this headache that I want to sleep off.

Click on the whining below if you feel like it.

No.Obie at Work. I found out yesterday that they have successfully hired someone to replace the two vacancies in our department. On the one hand, I'm slightly glad, because that means the ( Read more... )

Hey, babe! Glad you're doing well. :D

And because I'm heading out the door to work, any further comments will come later. Also, this isn't new Dan/Emma news (sadly!) BUT, how's about a fic rec to help pass the time? ;) I think you'll enjoy this one. Unfortunately, it's not posted anywhere else (not even PK, though I'm glad I was able to find it again after so long, as it is sort of really OLD fic), but it's totally worth the read.

So basically, the general synopsis is:

Three years after Ron's death, Hermione and Harry take a fateful trip and discover each other in a whole new light. NC-17, H/Hr.

'A Whole New Light', by PureBloodGryffindor

[you'll have to join the group to read it, tho.]

I've been meaning to rec this, for a while, over at harryhermione, which I'll probably still do at some point, but here you go. And I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. *g*

OMG tho, Harry in this is sooo SEXYHOT! ♥

Thanks for the rec, chica! The fic was just the thing to pass the time! ^_^

I'll let you know what I think of it after I'm done. I can tell that the fic is old, but I kinda like that.

I'm only on Chapter 2 but I've already had several good Lolz. XD XD XD

The dialogue's great! And while I'm not generally a big fan of Cad!Harry, I could enjoy it when properly warned. I am hugely entertained and I cannot wait to get to the smut.

That sounds crass, but I wanna read HHr porn, too. LOL.

LOL! Good plot & hot porn are essential, but lols are important too, you know? XD

And I agree, the great dialogue is definitely a bonus! Which is what makes the H/Hr convos so entertaining, and the flirting all the more sexy! And Cad!Harry is def. well-written in this one. ;)

As for the smut.. I'll let you read for yourself! lulz. ♥

[Back to work! ^-^]

Poor dear.***pets you*** As I was reading your post I couldn't help but think your thyroid gland must be working overtime :D I remember being pregnant and wanting to hibernate like a bear, you on the other hand seems so full of energy---this is great for when your son is born.

LOL to your baby shower problem, we Filipinos never have just a small gathering, whole villages must come.

Funny you should mention the thyroid gland. XD XD My doc (in the last visit where the technician murdered my arm) specifically ordered another blood test so they can check my thyroid gland again. They didn't call me about any problems, so I'm assuming everything's alright, but I have to wonder if she didn't order it because I wasn't gaining as much weight as she probably expected.

Sleep is still a wonderful, rare thing, of course, but I'd really like to be doing something while I'm awake. Sometimes I dream of having a tiny flat-screen TV on my desk so I can secretly watch reruns while I'm at work. XD XD XD

And as for the baby shower, gawd! I'm not even in the Philippines. If I were there, I'd probably have... I don't know, 200 guests. Lol.

So glad to hear that though you don't want to eat all the time you sound healthy and energetic....Yeah! for healthy pregnancies.

Quick question, have I missed postings of Angelica or are you hording them off until they are finished?

Just curious....

Yay, indeed! I'm so glad I'm relatively healthy. I couldn't imagine coping with a high-risk pregnancy. It seems like such hard work.

As for Angelica, the last chapter I posted was Chapter 15: Actions Speak Louder. Chapter 16, though done, is still in the works. There are some points in it I'm not absolutely sure about.

So this is what people call pregnancy-funk... Honestly, you need to relax a little. Both for your own sake and the baby's too. What if you have 75 guests instead of 10? I don't think you are as put off by it as you sound ( ... )

Oh, it's the venue. It supposedly can only hold 50. 0o I think the food will be fine... I hope!

What is with all those restrictions in pregnancy? I didn't know that women were advised to eat specific things that strictly.

I think my doctor just purposely gave me no apparent leeway. He (and she) just laid down the law. I can't eat anything raw (no sushi), and if I want to eat a steak, it has to be well done, which practically isn't a steak at all if that's the case (I like mine medium-well to medium-rare), I can't have any unprocessed cheeses (so no goat's cheese, no brie, no fetta, no bluecheese... basically the good stuff), no hotdogs or deli products (because of the nitrates they use to preserve it), and I am limited to eating fish two times a week. Even then, my fish cannot be mackarel, swordfish, or shark. I swear, every time I steal a bite of hotdog, I feel guilty for two weeks.

WTF with the steak restriction?! Sheesh, your doctor(s) really did lay down the law.

Maybe I shouldn't talk, I had my first kid while in college. Ok, so first two kids while in college.

Filming for Emma's ... ballerina shoes? or whatever it is, is done. Lol. I'm sure you knew that though, right?

*shrug* I'm still waiting for D/E to happen, and for them to totally make out in a dark room, *gigglesnort*

One thing you notice about British actors is that once they've done big-budget, big-screen gigs, they all sort of... well, what we in America call "down-grade." They go back to television and theater. Not that I completely agree that it's a "down-grade." I actually understand why they do that. In their situation, I'd be like, "Well, I've made a ton of money and I don't really live a high-maintenance lifestyle, so that money's going to last me comfortably for probably the rest of my life. I can now do the stuff I really love, like TV, independent films, and small theater productions, and it's more relaxing, too." Plus, I bet it gives them more credibility as actors to go the less lucrative routes.
