And because I'm heading out the door to work, any further comments will come later. Also, this isn't new Dan/Emma news (sadly!) BUT, how's about a fic rec to help pass the time? ;) I think you'll enjoy this one. Unfortunately, it's not posted anywhere else (not even PK, though I'm glad I was able to find it again after so long, as it is sort of really OLD fic), but it's totally worth the read.
So basically, the general synopsis is:
Three years after Ron's death, Hermione and Harry take a fateful trip and discover each other in a whole new light. NC-17, H/Hr.

The dialogue's great! And while I'm not generally a big fan of Cad!Harry, I could enjoy it when properly warned. I am hugely entertained and I cannot wait to get to the smut.
That sounds crass, but I wanna read HHr porn, too. LOL.

And I agree, the great dialogue is definitely a bonus! Which is what makes the H/Hr convos so entertaining, and the flirting all the more sexy! And Cad!Harry is def. well-written in this one. ;)
As for the smut.. I'll let you read for yourself! lulz. ♥

I really enjoyed the fic, and thank you so much for recommending it. I didn't mind OCC!Harry at all so long as there's proper warning of it in the beginning, and like I said, I can tell it's an old fic since it hadn't been "tainted" by the usual fanfic fanon "mores," like the general dislike of 'Mione, the limitations on available Wizarding careers, or the general perception of Wizarding Britain in general. You know how it gets in fanon these days--how this and that is Muggle as opposed to "Wizardy" and the other technical spell/magic stuff. I like that the fic is Old School--that there are doctors, not healers, cars, not Apparating, University, etc., etc. Some American stuff (as opposed to British ones) got through, but generally, I couldn't be bothered to pick on that because really... like I know any better!
This fic was great, and marvelously free of Weasleys, except for Hermione. Lol.
