Bad, bad kitties not to protect Mummy from the evil spider. I hope today's ride and choir goes smoothly!

Nothing that moves in my house goes unchallenged, from spiders to box elder bugs to fur puffs.

:D

The funny thing about box elder bugs is, the cats literally pound them to death, because they are too stupid to fly! I'm like, fly away, you idiot! No, they just try to scuttle, then get bludgeoned to death for the trouble. Le sigh.

I'll bet. There would be at least one cat that would be interested.

Idiot bugs!

spiders are one thing,,, a few years back my dad watched a huge field rat walk between the two outside cats. Just walked out of the shed,,, between the cats and out into the field. he swore(among other words) to never feed them again. I think cats have a live and let live policy most of the time. Unless they are my parents current indoor/outdoor cat ,,, she has the James Bond Live and Let Die theme going on. The only thing she hasn't killed and brought in the house is a snake.

Maybe it was a friendly jumper spider and they knew it wouldn't hurt anything and would eat pest in your house? They were trying to be helpful.

It is so hard to remember that they don't progress in straight lines. I have that issue almost daily.
