*finally met the new neighbors today. The poor things think that my yard is wild and untamed just because I am busy. They don't know I'm also farm raised, a hippy from a private college in Oregon, and an episcopalian. I have bugs, at least 3 kinds of birds, and TOADS this year! As I was feeding this evening Tess kept snorting in her stall (she, of course, didn't stop eating). I was afraid it might be a snake-she'd never done this before, and once I'd seen a snake in Zolar's stall. Animals are okay. Horses are mud balls once again as it's rained twice in the last 24 hours. Will probably be the last rain for a while.
