Poor Zoltar, he really is a teenager. Hopefully he will come around this morning.

Can I have a halleluiah for your eating in moderation comment? Use your comment sense, don't binge, lower your intake fatty and/or processed foods, eat more fruits and veggies. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out all of this will make you healthier.

I want to be able to travel five months a year and meditate for four-six hours or maybe that's what they call sleeping these days. it's confusing...

Thanks. No, he didn't. I'm hoping for dinner tonight.

No kidding. Fad diets and foods make me cringe at how unhealthy they actually are.

lol That may be sleeping.

That bad boy. Fingers crossed that he'll be easier to persuade tonight, then.

Fad diets have always bothered me, even WW which is probably the more common sense one of all. Just eat healthy!

Thanks.

And really, is adding a day to your life worth never eating a piece of pie again? No.

ETA: The problem is really with our skewed sense of what a healthy person should look like

Aw, poor Zolar. ;) Mardi was seriously hard to catch when I first got her but after she learned that if she wasn't wearing her halter she didn't get a treat like everyone else, she let herself be caught pretty quick. He'll learn. {hugs while you hold your ground}

Horses can be stubborn, and they need tough love sometimes.

I know, and I'm doing my best to give it. *nods* (also my trainer would kill me if I kept complaining without following her advice)

That's just what happens when horses don't cooperate, they miss out on opportunities. My youngster, if he refused to be caught would be left behind and now he's figured it out. He'd join up in the round pen but he seemed to want the excuse to be run around in the paddock just for fun. So I'd take the other horses out and leave him there alone and soon enough he'd say "Pick me please!" Every horse is different, you'll figure out what works with Zolar. Don't be discouraged.

Thanks. Yesterday he finally decided to behave in the roundpen, so I had a tiny sprig of hope that he would come in like a good boy. Not actually surprised.
Thanks for the support, it really helps.

I totally second your comment about everything in moderation! There are so many obsessive health fads around these days and ironically, I don't think that's healthy.

I think 99% aren't healthy. Or, they could be, if people didn't take them so far.

That's just it isn't it, they're often pretty extreme. I've bought more than one book on different diets in the hope of dealing with some of my chronic pain and fatigue issues and wow, when you get into it some of them are really out there.

Yes. It's why I get uncomfortable when people talk about changing their diet to fix things (especially because the really focused ones often give up on regular medicine as well).
