I hate car problems....

And I have the joy (that I suspect many women do), that while I ask questions and get information while the car is in the shop, it's never the *right* questions or *enough* information for the hubby... so he trails after me to the shop (like the next day or so) but when I say "you take it in!" he does the "no, no, it's your car" sort of thing...

Le sigh.

Here's hoping your problems really were just transient!

Car troubles always give me the heebie jeebies (and I don't own a car myself right now).

My dad ran over a nail apparently, or partially embedded one into his tire this morning running errands, and apparently it wasn't long enough to go through and puncture... just kind of messed the outside of the tire up a bit.

Ah, nails are fun. Glad his tire wasn't too bad. They can really cause trouble.

A rock in your brakes can definitely make a hellacious noise, but it's an easy, cheap fix!

I'd never heard of that before. I'm glad, though, since it was definitely cheap and easy. Kind of bad, though, because that's all they ever cover the roads with out here. *glares*
