Car and stuff
*My car has been telling me it was time for the regular service. Then, Saturday afternoon when I came home I thought I heard a weird noise.
Sunday I started it to go to church, and when I pulled it out of the garage I heard this horrible screeching noise, like there was metal dragging on the ground. Occurred going forward and back. Nothing dragging that I could see-eek!
(So I had to run and unhook the truck from the trailer to drive there. Ended up late for choir AND without my music. *sigh*)
In my mind I was thinking $$$, and considering how the financials had gone, and the horse expenses the last week, I was worried.
Started it today to take it to the shop, and the coolant was low. argh!!! Service guy said add water, and drive it in. Then, wouldn't you know it, it wasn't making the $&*#(Q noise when I got there.
He called at 3, and...nothing wrong! He thinks it was gravel attached to the brakes via tar. See, in our town they don't resurface the roads. They dump tar, then gravel on them. Joy.
Also, he couldn't find a coolant leak, so put a dye in, so if it does leak he'll be able to see where it is. I just hope it was a weird fluke and not the freaking mice.
*So far I've caught two mice under my sink with no bake cookie crumbs as bait.
*Work was really slow this morning, so I watched the Masterson Method DVD. Looks so easy on a calm horse that stands still. I wanna see him do it on a wiggly horse that's pissed at the flies. *sigh*
Good thing I am not a trainer. I really have no patience.
Did get some response on some things, though. Going to ride Friday, maybe, and we'll see how it goes. (wasn't too too different after having had a massage Monday-rode Tuesday and he was still a bit antsy and wiggly head.) Looking forward to a lesson Tuesday to see what I was doing wrong.
*Rex had his dentist appt Tuesday afternoon. Poor guy had some teeth issues. Gonna ride him tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes. Luckily it doesn't seem to have caused any trouble eating so far (the changes).
*Have the local arab show Saturday. Will be back at the entry table this time. All day. lol I do generally enjoy that. For the most part. :D
My trainer is probably going to ride Tess in a class. hee!
