I can't wait for summer vacation. I'm so totally over school for the year. The kids are losing their minds and I'm out of patience. I actually had to sit one kid in the corner facing the wall just to keep him from talking. I've spent the weekend costume shopping for this show and finally saw the show last night. WOW. I read the script over a year ago and I forgot how funny the show is. And I forgot how watching a good Albee play is like getting verbal whiplash. His characters pummel each others with words... and what words! This script harkens back to Who's ( Read more... )

One of the only cool things about the school I teach at is Pet Day. Last year I brought the hyper-active Wolfgang. This year I brought Pugsley. She's loving the constant attention (and snack people keep feeding her). She's starting to get real tired and sore from running around all day. But she's just so cute! So Wolfgang is currently being observed at the vet. He started acting really punky yesterday... favoring his belly, rearranging himself all the time, and just being blah and needy. You know what sucks about being "in charge?" It's exhausting. Being the director of a 180 kid musical is hard enough... being pulled in a million directions, answering everybody's questions (usually dumb ones) and just being the resident expert and go-to person is wearing my brain out!
