I finally got around to answering those "Top 5 fandom things" some of you asked me to complete a week or so ago. They are all answered in this one post, and have bonus pictures and youtube videos, so to say this is a longish post would be a bit of an understatement. I think Fires of Pompeii is one of those episodes that just get better every time you watch it. Also, the reason why you watched it is just awesome.

Speaking of awesome, UNIT!! I completely agree that there is nowhere near enough love for UNIT, because Old school UNIT kicks several types of arse. You can never go wrong when UNIT is involved in an episode.

LoM is brilliant for quotes, so it was difficult to narrow it down to just five choices, but I think I'm happy with the ones that I chose.

Too bloody right it should be more appreciated. It has everything you need, really - crack, heart, angst, and Donna being generally awesome.

I'm not sure about a UNIT spin-off, though. It could work, but only if they were as brilliantly inept as they were in Old School Who. Also, it would most likely not include the Brig, and I think I've become a little too attached to that character to see an entire series based around UNIT that didn't include him.

Darlin, you have the best answers for these lists ever! I cannot argue with a single one. I love that you didn't just choose songs, foods, bands etc - you gave each one such a personal and particular reason for your choice. It's such a pleasure reading this
