My lack of updating of late has more to do with LJ than with myself. I've actually tried to update several times this week, and the bugger's been down. A sign from on high? Or, a fiendish plot to keep my life's little mysteries mysterious? You be the judge, gentle readers!

Au contraire, that is why I (expertly) think you would be superb at parenting. But lock them in the garage instead, until they ask to be let upstairs. They might realize that table morsels and attention are up there.

Don't you think your mom would get more useful insights from a pet psychic than the pet psychiatrist? Psychology is all theory.

It's gotten so bad that my mom called a pet psychiatrist. The woman told her that she needs to "respect the cats' decision to stay downstairs" and not to try and "force her will onto theirs." My take on it: after a few hours locked in the bathroom, I bet they'll stop crying.
