Oh man. My brief experience with Pasadena (walking distance from and including parts of Old Town) included the exchange:

Me: *double-take* Wait... was that woman dusting the outside of her house?!?!?
Person-I-was-visiting: Yes. Just keep walking.

The Norton Simon Museum is one of my favorite places in the world. It is so well put together. It feels intimate, even though I am there with a bunch of strangers. I am glad you had a nice weekend!

I'd never been there before and was SO impressed. The collection is like 30 times better than the Getty's! And you're right - it does feel cozy!
