Busy weekend

I'm going to copy Futureboy's style and do a little "Weekend in review" thing with highlights & lowlights.


Highlights

My mom (MotherOfKittens) came to visit!
+ I love my mom!!!!!
+ She cooked us dinner every night
+ She bought tons of groceries for later at Whole Foods
+ We ran around all over and did fun things (see below)
- She is staying in Encino tonight instead of here and I miss her

More things we did with my mom:
+ We saw Waitress
+ We went to the Norton Simon Museum, which was absolutely amazing!
+ After the museum, we wandered around Old Town Pasadena
- Old Town Pasadena has become very gentrified

Corporate Event today at Will Rogers State Park (on the beach)
- Had to miss my friend's baby shower to go
+ It was a lot of fun and everyone loved my mom (as they always do)
+ I really do like my co-workers
++++ I WENT SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN!!! Holy shit, that was so great!!!! Why don't I go to the beach more often?
+ Did I mention I went swimming in the ocean?
- The ocean slapped me in the face and I drank a bunch of sea water. :)
- I somehow got sunburned (even though I always wear sunscreen)

BBQ in Encino
+ Best grilled vegetable salad ever
+ BBQ was actually much better than I'd expected it would be
+ Swam in their pool
- Had to leave my mom in Encino
