21st Arrow [Action]

May 10, 2010 13:45

[Everything has changed since Rebecca was taken. Her best friend is gone. Her roommate? Returned home. A close friend of hers had died. Before she can find out any of this, though, she has the side-effects of her own recent experiment to deal with.

It starts near the barracks, where Rebecca wakes up. She's not the same, though. She has a faint red ( Read more... )

[Oh, hey there's Rebecca cool. He'll just walk on over to say hello then!]

Rebecca, hello! [He spots that bow she's holding. Hmm, what would she need with that-- oooh she did just come from the barracks, or atleast it seems like that was the direction she came from. Perhaps she just finished training.]

Just finished up an evening of training, eh?

[Rebecca doesn't even hesitate for a moment. She turns to Bang and has an arrow ready in just a matter of seconds...and she fires before he gets too close.]

[Well he manages to jump out of the way of that but he's still wondering why she DID it]

Rebecca, what's gotten INTO you?

[She just looks angry, Bang...and she knows you well, so she's going to fire again. There's no trembling or hesitation...it's like she has no soul, just a desire to battle.]

[Lyn is heading back from a morning of training. And by "training", I mean "throwing herself brutally against the dummies in an attempt to make herself so exhausted she can't worry anymore". It's more or less worked, in the sense that now she's so wiped out that all she can really think of is getting back to her oh-so-empty apartment, showering, and throwing herself on the bed.

But she's got something else to deal with first, it seems.] R-Rebecca... [She swallows, not wanting to have the conversation she's about to.] You're back.

[OOC: I... have no idea where I want this to go, whether I want Lyn hurt or what. But there's no way she could possibly ignore this.]

[It should be very apparent that something is wrong. Instead of greeting Lyn, she moves away, getting to that perfect distance for an archer and its target. Just like with Bang, she readies that arrow and fires it. There's only a slight moment of hesitation, and the look on her face is anything but friendly; she just looks angry.]

[ooc; it's up to you! X3 And of course not, I was hoping Lyn'd reply.]

[She was in the middle of taking a step forward when Rebecca begins to move away from her.] Rebecca, what- [That's all she gets out before the arrow is readied, and oh is it a good thing she's so well trained because she just rolled away from a shot that would have gotten her square in the chest.]

Rebecca! What are you doing? [Fear, betrayal, anger, and shock lace her voice.]

[OOC: I guess we'll just go with what comes naturally. She'll protect herself as best she can, realize what's happening and the fact that without healing magic she can't possibly dispell the effects, and then... well I can't see her running away is the problem, she'd more likely try and knock Rebecca out. So either she has to be taken down or she just chases her all the way to the fountain where Adell is waiting.]

[Instead of talking, though, Rebecca's just going to ready another arrow. There are no words, no reason for her to attack Lyndis aside from the fact that she's just so...angry. She doesn't care who she attacks; she just recognizes Lyn...and fires again.]

[ooc; I'll just have Adell jump in after they get to the fountain, then, okay? ^^ It works for me. I actually meant to PM you but forgot. orz]

[Seeing as Arumat practically lives at the barracks, he'll spot Rebecca soon after she arrives. The sight of an archer near the barracks isn't an unusual one at all. What IS unusual is that faint glow, setting Arumat instantly on alert as it calls up memories of the sickly red-black sheen of the Phantoms. His grip on his scythe tightens as he waits to see what she'll do.]

[The glow fades and dims. Rebecca was perfectly intent to just go on her way, but Arumat changed from "neutral" to "enemy" as soon as he readied his scythe. She twirls an arrow, the signature of her critical hit, and loads her bow. She waits exactly two seconds before firing at the man she's never even seen before.]

[Arumat isn't waiting around to see just how much damage that arrow can do. In one swift movement, he'll sidestep, bringing his scythe around in an attempt to knock the arrow right out of the air.]

[Have two more arrows. Since Arumat is not moving closer, Rebecca's going to test the water once more. If he's not going to attack, she's going to flee. No point in attacking neutral targets.]

[There's not even a moment of hesitation, and it was just a child--though Rebecca had her arrow read and fired before she was facing Nanoko. It was mostly an instinctual counterattack, and the arrow whizzed right by Nanoko, missing her by only inches.]

[Unfortunately for Nanako? Getting hit in the head with a kickball has her kind of dazed, even in her berserk status. Seriously, those things can hurt, even when it's just a kid. So she's going to fire again...and she never misses twice. Or does she?]
