The advice nurse said I'd need a tetanus shot because it has been "so long" (6 years) since my last one. The doctor said I don't need a tetanus shot because I'm up-to-date. Go figure. I'm glad I didn't need it though.
I'm not hitting the keys with it. I'm getting pretty good at hitting the space bar with my index finger instead. (I don't seem to be able to coordinate my left thumb to hit the space bar instead. I have to really think about it if I do that.
Scott wants to know if you cut your thumb with a chainsaw? Lol. He also says "She should be very careful. Those are very sharp!" in a little "all-knowing" voice.
I think protological is a word, or if not, it should be. ;)
It's not nearly as bad as this giant bandage makes it look, really. I mean I did take off a sizable piece, but I didn't go very deep. I'm making myself shudder now!
When I broke my arm I spent 6 weeks in a splint, bent 90 degrees at the elbow, palm up. I looked like I was looking for tips everywhere I went! I think yours looks funnier :) I might invest in some small gauze squares and little finger cots (like rubber gloves, but just the finger part) and a thick piece of tape to hold the cot on. Lots and lots of neosporin too!
When I dress it myself, it's not that huge. I'll have to post a picture of my much less ridiculous looking bandage. :)
I couldn't find the finger condoms (I'm easily amused ;) so I bought a giant box of latex gloves for showering and cooking. Oh yes, and a large tube of anti-bacterial goo.
