Nakia, or: this is what my journal's for

I have to say, I am so proud of my friend Nakia. I met him back in 2001 or 2002, when he lived in Chicago and played at piano bars, singing self-penned music in what I thought was a fantastic voice. I was frustrated mainly because I thought so highly of his talent, and so many were unaware of his skills. I kept thinking how fantastic it would be
