Okay, for the last week I've had Germany's entry for this year stuck in my head, and it won't leave. Apparently I'm not the only one finding it catchy, as already numerous people have done multiple covers of the song, including this awesome piano solo.

I love music written in other languages -- obviously. There are styles, points of view, and more that I wouldn't hear otherwise if I just stuck to English music. Plus I'm a linguaphile, so really this is no shock. So when I was young -- probably up to age 7 -- my mother and father used to play the record with "Afternoon Delight" on it ALL the time. I used to jump around and sing it at the top of my lungs.
I had NO CLUE it was about sex for YEARS.

So Carl is home tonight, watching One Hit Wonders of the 80's on VH1 Classic, and "Maniac" by Michael Sembello came on.
