As a history-based community, we're obviously focusing on fandoms that occurred in the past. How FAR in the past is up for debate, but something that takes place in, say, the 1980s is probably not going to fly. So. Basilisk and Chrono Crusade count. Inuyasha (<33) counts as long as you stick to events in the past. I'm going to say no to Haruka because it takes place on another world that just happens to resemble our past. I'd like to stick to things that take place on Earth (even if they do involve demons lol!)

With regards to The Mummy...I've not seen any of the movies, but it seems like there's a good amount of focus on supernatural elements? I said no to Van Helsing for that reason. BUT if the Mummy is more Indiana Jones-style and focuses on archaeology with a side helping of magic-type stuff, I'll allow it. But if it's primarily sword-and-sorcery, I'll have to say no.
