The Writers of the Future Contest started its second quarter on January 1st and will run to March 30th. This is one of the best contests for new writers to participate in. The winner of the quarter gets $1,000; second place gets $750; and third gets $500.

Finally completed some loose ends from the first chapter that I’ve been neglecting to deal with. Did a few quick snipping of sentences, saved under a new name, and printed it out so I could reread it whenever I had a spare moment.
