Things have been 'quiet' at the GCPD. There's still the normal buzz of a city horribly infested with crime, but with Gigante's death there was still a vacuum of power that no one had stepped up to take control

Maybe it's just one of those days so far as Arkham goes. Where everyone up and decides to visit, all at once. That would be a good explanation for Bruce Wayne's presence here in the lobby, asleep in one of those uncomfortable plastic chairs, a two years old issue of People Magazine on his lap.
That is, in fact, an effective strategy to avoid waking him. Though Bruce... honestly, may not be entirely appreciative of being let sleep. He makes soft little whining noises, and kicks his foot. Maybe he's dreaming about chasing muggers supermodels.
But if Jim wakes him, he might have to talk to him. And he really has no issue watch Bruce act out what ever dream he's currently having while he waits.
House leaves the irritation downstairs, or most of it. "Warden, and Wayne..." He says it mostly to himself as the elevator reaches the third floor, but the thrust of his thoughts is pretty straightforward.
Harvey would really, really like to know why these people keep thinking it's a good idea to visit the maximum security hall itself. Especially when the clown is here.
He's learned his lesson from last time with Bruce, though. The call goes out that there's a visitor, so of course he looks, but once he sees who it is that's on the hall, he ducks back onto his bunk, snatching up a book to pretend to be reading. Dammit, Jim...
The clown perks up when he hears they have visitors. He doesn't pretend to be doing something. Instead, he stops what he is doing --which mostly consists of mumbling to himself and carefully chewing at the wrist tape holding the new set of mittens in place.
He gets up and goes to the glass, standing at it so he can look down the hall a ways and see who's coming to see them. He smiles, though it falls short of friendly or welcoming.
From his own cell, Simon peers out to see which visitor they got this time. And since it's Gordon, he's moderately interested. He waves, sitting in the corner between wall and glass on the wall away from Harvey's side. He's dragged his blanket over there, to make sitting on the floor more comfortable.

Of course, the man shouting out that there is a visitor on the hall puts Jim on display faster then he wanted to be. Thanks, buddy.

With all the empty cells, one would think they could isolate the Joker at one end...

(No, it isn't, but at least it means the Joker can't listen in on them talking.)
He's much more personable, on take two. "Hey. Sorry about that," he tells Jim, as he's led in. "I didn't want.... you know."

"I hoped that was the reason." Jim smiles, looking no worse for his trip through the hall. "How are you doing, Harvey?"

Of course, he could still be hiding the coin somewhere, but... maybe he isn't?
"How about you?"

"As good as I can be, considering. In this town, you're just waiting for something else to come up."
