Tseng had often been asked why he chose Reno as his second-in-command. The man was disrespectful, always out of uniform and seemed to have a complete disregard for chains of command. But they did not know the Reno that Tseng knew. That Reno was surveying his handiwork as Tseng entered the cafeteria, and the director gave a small smile of approval.

Turks excelled at making something out of nothing. Reno had never disappointed in that regard, and now he was succeeding again. Tseng headed over to the table as if nothing at all was out of the ordinary.

"It is good to see you looking well, Reno. Everything set, I see. Rufus will be pleased."

He looked around out of habit and saw few others anywhere around. The location was good, easily defendable if necessary.

Rufus came in right after Tseng and paused in the doorway to survey the scene before him. It was as if something had slotted neatly into place like materia in his shotgun: as long as his people were here and safe, Rufus ShinRa was home.

He strode to the head of the table and set down his sheaf of notes--just as Dark Nation slipped past him, a blur of betentacled black, and made a beeline for Reno, yowling with joy.

"Another happy ShinRa morning," he quipped, smirking. "So what's on the agenda, as if I couldn't guess?"

Reno was just in the middle of proudly accepting Tseng's praise when he was hit full in the chest by a hundred pounds of DarkNation. He went down without a prayer. "Darkie! Whoa! Down boy! Glad to see you--ack! No tongue! Boss! Help!"

Rufus laughed.

"'No tongue'?? Come on, with him it's always either tongue or tentacle, take your pick." He snapped his fingers. "Nation. Off him, now."

Nation looked up from his stance athwart Reno's chest, his expression one of utter Guard Hound innocence. Yellow eyes blinked; the tentacle, not yet as long as it would be at maturity, wrapped itself around Reno's wrist and tugged playfully. Rufus raised an eyebrow; Nation pouted but stepped off. However, he did get in one good long lick to Reno's face before he sat b ack waiting for the redhead to get up and play with him.

Reno brushed his face clean with the sleeve of his jacket as he sat up. "Tongue or tentacle just sounds like bad yaoi, boss. How come Nation is so...small?" he asked, getting to his feet and dusting himself off.

Cloud strode slowly into the sterile white cafeteria, heavy boots thudding softly on the tile floor. He had on the gunmetal-gray pauldron and bracer-guard that he came to the Facility with, though he seldom wore them except in Facility 3. Instead of their normal intense sky blue, Cloud's eyes were distinctly poisonous green. His expression seemed intently focused, but not on anyone or anything in the room right now.

Taking a spot past the narrow end of the table where the benches didn't reach, Cloud stood quietly and folded his arms over his chest. The astute (and that probably includes everyone here) might note that he's standing where everyone at the table can keep an eye on him. This might well be by accident. More likely, he's standing there because it's one of the few places in the room where he could effectively draw and swing the massive sword on his back.

Then he looked over his shoulder, attention riveted on the doorway he'd just come in through.

This, Vincent has seen before. He was not, by any means, an unintelligent man. He knew a threat when he saw it. News of this gathering did not escape him, of course. How could it? Cloud, himself, seemed to deem it fit enough to not only divulge such information, but hunt him down to do so. This was not something he could ignore ( ... )

For whatever reason Cloud was staring at the doorway came in clear enough as a long haired remnant came into view, his eyes just the same toxic colours as Cloud's as he easily stepped into the room. How the blond convinced him not to lash out, was a miracle itself, though the remnant had already been thinking of ways to shoot the blond for even making him agree to this. His boots made the same thudding noise on the ground as Clouds, only slightly a bit more quiet than the blond's. The silver haired remnant looked over at the table of Turks and President Shinra ( ... )

As ever, on the heels of his brother came Loz. His eyes were half-hidden beneath a menacing scowl and his lip was curled scornfully. He had drawn himself to his full height and thrust back his shoulders in a display of primitive intimidation. His feet fell with much more noise than Yazoo's, each step hard, deliberate upon the floor. Every muscle remained tense, every fiber primed for a fight.

Of course, he would do nothing unless something threatened Yazoo, but it wouldn't hurt to LOOk like he was ready to rip someone's face off.
He took his position at Yazoo's right hand and waited.

He said nothing and was likely to remain silent. He had Yazoo to speak for him, it was better that way.
