Forty Fifth Guitar Solo - Eddie Riggs [Text]

May 16, 2011 13:50

Hope you kids didn't wanna watch the TV this week. The Television set sort of had an accident. Whoops. My bad.

If anyone needs me, I'm going to be in the forge. I'll be refining a few older tools and working on a few weapons. I'll probably be taking weapons orders today too. So if you want something, ask and we'll hash out details.

[The hammering from inside takes a moment to tamper off, the door opening. Feferi more or less getting to see the very large man smiling down at her. Though it was obvious he wasn't up to his usual par of good mood. Thus the loud hammering that had been happening in the forge.] Yeah, kiddo? What's goin' on?

[of course the first thing she does is hug him, a little for herself and a little for him, before pulling back with a small smile.] N- nothing. Boring stuff! I um, I was wondering if I could watch you work! I never saw you do it before.

[have a mix of this week sucks and she's worried about you, Eddie :T]

[Feferi can enjoy the sweaty hug back after Eddie gives a small blink of surprise. He ruffling her hair with a smile at the question.] Course, though you're probably gonna get bored real quick.

[He steps aside so the 13-14 year old troll can make her way into the forge/office space. A desk set in a corner back against a large crate, forge equipment in the other corner. It all orderly in Sasha's side and a disarray in Eddie's. Metal piled next to the forge itself. Eddie working on refining some of his aging tools.] Grab Sasha's seat, he's got some paddin' on there so its more comfortable than the patient chair.

I'm sure it will be okay. Nothing major, just fixing up my tools. I've had them for a long time, so they need to get a update or two.

[When you axed the TV, Alessa was probably watching. Because she's been doing nearly nothing but watch it, or other TVs besides.

But now she's pushing the door to your forge, creeping inside with a worryingly blank look on her face.]

[The sound of his door creaking open, he looks up from his hammer wielding. Concern rising at the blank look on her face.] Alessa?

[Alessa doesn't respond immediately. Instead, she walks closer, eying the fire with an unreadable look in her eyes.]

...I wanted to watch. If you don't mind.

You spend a lot of time in here, so I wanted to see how you do it. [Or she wants a distraction. Same dif.]

I do mind. You shouldn't be watchin' any of that. [He gives the gentlest of chides as he looks down at his adopted daughter.]

Grab a seat, kiddo. I can't guarantee you'll be entertained by watchin' me work.

Food, real food from F3 trips. Big weapons I usually require bout half of whatever you brought back, if its somethin' small I charge bout a cup or so.

You know, I'd ask for a knife an' all, but we was havin' a bit of a camp out here, an' I thought maybe a bit a' music might help cheer folks up.

What you normally charge for a gee-tar? Good steel one, like.

[Eddie grins back at this request.] If you have any food, bout half of it would be enough for a guitar.
