My boyf's mother is having an operation today to remove the screws from her titanium leg rod thing. Sounds painful. Want to send her something nice (and cheap, and doesn't involve me going to the post office) and can't get past the idea of a lame e-card. Anybody?
Maybe an online gift card? Hmmm.

Been watching Agatha Christie's Poirot. I'm not a huge fan of Art Deco but damn me if I can't help admiring the production, sets and costumes of this show. It's dead on - from the set of every woman's hair to the beautiful cut glass martini glasses. And the wonderful cars! It's just so aesthetically pleasing.

Sick. Didn't go to work. Doctor said there's nothing wrong with me. By which he means I don't have swine flu and I have no infections. I'm just sick.

This doesn't make me feel any better.

Haven't blogged in a while because of two things:
1) I've been ill. Again.
2) Nothing really has happened.

In other news, two people at my work are being tested for swine flu. One of them I sit next too. GREAT.

Planned and almost executed a secret plan to spirit away the boyfriend for the afternoon to Bribie Island and spend some quality time. Was thwarted by northbound traffic however so we just ended up driving back to the dam near our house and having a little picnic there.
