Oh, Jump Street, yes. If I weren't so tired I'd reminisce.
Speaking of which, what the - *reviews stage directions* - do I have a Scottish person, like, asleep in my lap now? Is that the deal? *looks both ways* *pets*
why haven't i relpied to any of my comments? i thought i had, but apparently not. when you're less tired (like, next year, poor joan) i wish to hear the reminiscences. how did i miss this in the 80s? was i too busy Not Liking Wham (i mean, i like them now but when i was strange tomboyish teen? i was strongly opposed.) and falling over in rollerboots or something?
and, um, yes, you can choose to interpret it that way... *shifty*
21 Jump St. reminiscences. Well, the theme tune went "21 Jump -- -- Street." I used to think Johnny Depp was really cute and I had a picture of him and would squeal about him with a friend of mine. He provided a lot of support for the misleading, but at the time very comforting, "So I'm NOT gay!" theory that helped a lot during junior high and high school. I liked Ioki (sp?) too, and Hoff and the boss fella
( ... )
Ooooo actual reminiscences. It's like a historical record. ::is enthralled::
I was too young to have watched it first run, and later on I just knew that it existed, the basic premise, and that it starred Johnny Depp. Hmm, why *did* I start downloading it? I suspect there is a jekesta to blame.
Yes the prostitute ep with the constant raping was very dark. I really admired them for going there with that ep.
And the ep with Ioki was in Vietnam during the WAR. He's growing up in Vietnam and watching all this old American TV and getting bombed all the time and OMG SAD
well, my return to two-wheeled motion has been greatly aided by 1. the fact that it's only rained on me once since i started. and 2. the discovery of a much less uphill route to the office. ok, and 3. the fact that i really enjoy cycling for its own sake.
next month, off to edinburgh and a pilgrimage to most excellent bike shop (and origin of my baby) the edinburgh bicycle cooperative. they have an online shop. beware! it eats money.
