Sometimes I feel like I'm spinning my wheels.

I need to just take some time to collect myself and focus on what I want to accomplish.

The University of Windsor has dealt me a hand that I didn't quite expect, so I won't be graduating following the Summer/Intersession terms.

Just an unseen opportunity to recharge my batteries.

I swear, I'm not dead. Just in a state of academically-induced withdrawal from online socializing.

Hopefully once this gauntlet of exams and tests are completed I'll be less of a recluse and back to sharing the details of my existence for your enjoyment.

The band played again last night, this time opening up for Helix in Toronto. It's amazing to see the kind of show that Helix put on after 30 years of playing , makes me wonder how I'd hold after another 25 years in this 'business ( Read more... )

So, we played two sets at Villanova High School yesterday. One during an assembly for students and the other later in the evening for a paying audience. It was definitely one of the best shows we've had in a long time, especially sound-wise. Everything was mixed to perfection, even the monitors. So, I started a process to detoxify and cleanse my body. I figured it goes with the whole lifestyle change I've undertaken.

Over the course of the past two days, it's been interesting. I'm curious to find out how I feel following the completion of this whole process.

Also, I've lost five pounds since I'm changed my diet.

embers burn
lying dormant, buried under ashes
beneath the harshness of ageless, cruel winters
throughout lashing winds and echoing voices
awash in seasons of endless sorrows
forgotten and fading with the touch
the caress of time's remorseless fingers
seething, smoldering
emotional pyre,
remains of hopes and dreamscapes from lost yesterdays
