Everybody's working for the weekend!

I'm currently halfway through The Deeper Meaning of Liff, which is like my favorite new thing. For those not in the know, it's "a dictionary of things there aren't any words for yet", by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd. All words are really geographical places. ( My favorites so far... )

tv: my boys, tv: life, kiva, tv: sarah connor chronicles, language, tv: better off ted, books

It's so freakin' hilarious! I haven't found it online, but The Meaning of Liff is available online. (The Deeper Meaning has almost twice the number of words, and some of the best don't seem to be in the earlier version). Some days I just love being a word geek. *g*

This whole PJ/Bobby thing isn't working for me, and it's kinda ruining my enjoyment of the entire show. I think this one might find itself on the scrap heap if their relationship doesn't crash and burn pretty soon.
Um YES!! The rest of the group is really working the funny but, like it does for you, PJ/Bobby brings it down. The pairing has this forced sense about it. And, is it just me, or do they have ZERO chemistry? I don't know. I still wish she'd wound up with the baseball player. I suppose the show thinks it needs someone from her core group as a love interest, to add some depth perhaps, but I can't imagine any of them cutting it really.

I feel like PJ becomes someone else, this coy, girlish, not-at-all-PJ type person when she's with Bobby. I mean, sure, if you like that kind of thing, it's probably fine, but I like people who know each other and don't try to be someone else while being with them. Which is why I think PJ/Brando could work, but now they've burned their chance at a PJ/someone-from-the-group hook-up on Bobby, and... Just UGH! The more I see it and/or think about it, the less it appeals to me. And it was pretty damn unappealing to start with, let me tell you!

Also, I'm really hoping that Terminator 4 is a monster hit, because I think that may be the only way this show gets another season.
Unfortunately, the movie doesn't come out until a week after the upfronts! Bah.

Good buzz might do it? Plus, if it is HUGE, they might consider TSCC for a mid-season pick-up. I'm hoping.

Well, nothing's written in stone yet, but from reports, I gather that its ratings have been pretty abysmal and unless a miracle of some sort happens, this was probably it.

Haha! It is the perfect word for impending doom, isn't it?

Did you see the link in one of my other comments? Because while some of the words I mentioned aren't in the older version, ely most definitely is.

I did! but I have this thing about books... dislike reading them online. *shrug* Even this kind of thing.

I'm weird. :)

Well, the book has maps and indexes and lots of other fun stuff! And it's totally worth the money, in my opinion. (But then again, I'm weird too. =)
