I've been feeling out of step lately. I'm not sure what it it, but something is offMaybe it's the fact that I've done almost a month's worth of work in the past week and a half. And I thought I'd planned everything so well and I was going to take the next three days off. Except not so much, because one of the shows I thought was a weekly show turns ( Read more... )

I think I've mentioned something similar to this before, but your tags present themselves perfectly.

I put "private"? Dammit, I meant to put personal. Shouldn't change your enjoyment level much, though. *g*

Yes, yes. If for no other reason, because it's pretty and the caps would be wonderful. Not that I'm selfish or anything.

I hope it gets here fast. I discovered this site that's based in Germany, I think, so their imports only take a few days at most to reach Sweden.

Have you seen Peter Stormare in the new VW commercials? He's like some sort of cross between a stereotypical German and a gangsta (he flashes a V-Dub gang sign). It's very strange, and I think he deserves better. Much better.

Looks like the loyalty pics are retroactive! I need to find more icons that I want to use.

Nope, there's really no way for me to see it since TV rips don't come with commercials.

Cool!

I always figured your job would be dubbing TV shows, but what exactly is your job? lol

We don't dub TV shows in Sweden, we never have. Well, except for cartoons and children's shows, but these days even those usually come in two version. I subtitle shows. You know Seinfeld's crack about not wanting to see foreign films because he doesn't want to read when he goes to the movies? That's what I do. Well, except it's usually TV shows, not movies. =)

Do you do it for just one single TV station or are you more freelance?

The company I work for has one major client/station. I do a lot of translating into English, though, and those shows are from all over the place, but usually production companies as opposed to TV channels, because they're usually only showed at conventions and the like.

Well, mine just finished downloading in 11 minutes, but this is the fastest I've gotten it this season. Usually it takes between 15 minutes to an hour and a half, depending almost entirely on how early after the torrent goes up I find it.

One thing about Scrubs is that it actually gets better every season. I don't know many shows where that's true.

And I finally got my loyalty pics! 112, baby!
