late afternoon and the sun finally grazes my back for a few last minutes, i have somehow managed to end up with the most beautiful view.
every minute the sky pours across the city, the flat tops become the landscape of my days. and i just want to get the hell out of here. but go where, really

to wake up with such anger, it makes my body hum.

where is the joy

i had not moved the beer bottles, so when i kicked the fan off my bedside table, one smashed across the floor. brown glass hides on the hardwood, the fan still spinning.

i am cold, and my feet are wet.

i will go home in 6 hours and i will make a special appetizer and i will go to her birthday party.

your hands spread across my ribcage.
and the way the corner of your lip turns up as your mouth grazes my calf.

i'm sitting in the sun and my black jeans are soaking in the heat - still with a breeze i'm warm in that way that the sun just wraps you up, and you never get hot, just lightly toasted. this park is not exactly luscious, but it is grassy and it is well used, the way a park should be.
