It's seems like I post only when we/I get a new device. Today I bought a new pc for us. Not a new mac, which will come eventually, but a pc. It's a refurb from factory direct. For the money ($500) it's quite a nice machine. It has a dual core 2.8 P4 with 1 gig DDR2 ram, 250 SATA2 drive, 2 DVD drives, media card reader, firwire and usb2 front and ( Read more... ) -

Last week I took some pictures of the demolition of a venerable old girl on Parliament St. The building at 547 Parliament was last known as Foxy's and Coyotes but many will remember it as Pope Joan. Those of my friends who've worked near the building will be surprised at how different the area looks!!

I know some say the widgets are just ram wasters but some of them are quite useful. -

so we went to Whole Foods in Yorkville tonight... pretty cool store for food stuff... yes it's a bit pricey but not terrible. The selection of healthy stuff is quite extensive. There is lots of organic freshness and naturally rasied "healthy" animal protein. There were a few specials on some of the things we buy elsewhere so overall it was a ( Read more... ) -
High Speed is back and better than ever
Well...last Thursday the DSL line was finally fixed (it was on Bell's end). The whole situation arose from a phone call from a company representing Bell about getting an upgrade to our DSL modem and speed. We agreed and the rep (sounded like a a teenager) said we would receive our new modem in a few days.... it didn't arrive until we were away on ( Read more... )
