Dunn looked back at Novak. “Oh get over it.” he slurred, swerving the car yet again. Somehow, despite all the racket, Bam had managed to pass out with his head in Ville’s lap.
“Uhh…” Novak moaned. “Hey Ville, pass me Bam’s hat.” Ville looked at him questionably before gently removing the heartagram beanie from Bam’s head and passing it to the drunken man. Unfortunately, the slightest bit of movement had awoken Bam.
“Hey!” he yelled at Novak, “Why the hell are you using my hat as a barfbag? You’re wearing one too.”
“What idiot would puke in their own hat?” Dunn questioned. Bam threw an evil glare in his direction, but Dunn just laughed. “Ville’s the one who gave it to him, anyway.”
“Willa,” Bam moaned, “Why’d you let him do that?”
“Willa?” Ville chuckled. “Whatever, Bammie it’s not like I thought he would actually puke in it.”
The ride back to Castle Bam was silent from there. Dunn insisted that he was entirely too drunk to drive himself home, so he ended up with plans to share the guestroom with Ville. Bam’s heart wrenched at the thought of Ville sharing a room with anyone besides himself, but that just wouldn’t work with Missy around.
“I’ll introduce you to Missy in the morning since she’s probably asleep already.” Bam informed Ville as they entered his house. Novak and Dunn trailed off to their rooms as Bam lead Ville to the one he’d be sharing with Dunn.
Ville looked around and smiled to himself. Almost anywhere he looked he saw heartagrams or a picture of the band. It made him feel cherished and loved; something he wasn’t used to at home. He nearly shuddered at the thought of his fiance’s cold thouch, but that was the last thing he wanted to think about right now. All he wanted to think about was the fact that he was finally with Bam after four long years. They couldn’t be together the way he wanted, but being friends was better than nothing.
“Yeah, so this is the room you’re staying in.” Bam said, pointing towards a room with low, grumbling snores coming from it. “Sorry about Dunn, he’ll be gone tomorrow. Anyway the door on the left of that is the bathroom and two doors from that is my room, just incase you need anything. I’ll give you a grand tour tomorrow cause I’m just too tired to think right now.” Bam yawned. He really wanted to stay up and talk with Ville all night. In fact, he wanted nothing more than that, but his body just wouldn’t allow it.
“Thanks Bam.” Ville said, heading towards his room. “Goodnight.”
“Night.” Bam called back.
Bam woke up and rolled over to look at the clock. “It’s fucking noon?” He half whispered half shouted to himself. “Shit!” He said, rolling out of bed and running to the bathroom. Bam hoped that Ville wasn’t awake yet. God knows what Missy would think if she saw some random guy walking out of the same room as Dunn in the morning.
He quickly showered and hurried downstairs. The unpleasant smell of burnt pancakes hit his nose as he entered the pirate bar. “Dunn, what the hell are you doing?”
“Makin’ pancakes.” he replied nonchalantly.
“Pancakes aren’t supposed to be black, dipshit.”
“Damnit, I knew they didn’t seem right!” Dunn said defeatedly with a frown on his face. Bam couldn't help but laugh.
“Where’s Missy?” Bam asked, pouring himself some coffee and taking a seat as the table.
“She’s at the store, but she said she needed to talk to you. I think she said she had to go out of town for a week or something.”
“Oh, okay. Hey, is Ville up yet?”
Dunn shook his head. “I tried to get him up, but the little princess refused. I decided to get Novak up, though. He was just as pushy, but I dumped a bucket of water on him.”
“So where is he?”
“Novak? I dunno. He got really pissed at me and said something about Don Vito right before he drove off.”
Bam’s eyes widened in horror. “He’s bringing Vito over?”
“Sounds like it.”
“Fuck, Dunn! Why didn’t you just let him sleep? Missy’s gonna throw a fit if he’s here when she get’s back!” Dunn just shrugged and walked outside.
As if right on cue, Ville arrived in the pirate bar. “I heard shouting and figured everyone was in here. What’s going on?”
"Oh it’s nothing that bad. Dunn just dumped water on Novak so now Novak’s all pissed and he went to get my unlce, Vito. I wouldn’t normally care, but Missy hate’s Vito and she’ll throw a fit if he’s here when she gets back.”
“Oh.” Ville sniffed. “What smells like a bomb?”
“Dunn tried to make pancakes.” Bam laughed.
“And you trusted him with a stove?” Ville asked, helping himself to some coffee and taking a seat next to Bam.
“I didn’t tell him to, he just did it.” Bam said definsively. They continued to chat about nothing particularly interesting until they were interrupted by Novak coming through the back door with Don Vito.
“Ah, fuck. Why’d you bring him over?” Bam complained. “Missy’s gonna shit herself.”
“I have to get some revenge on Dunn. Where is the bastard, anyway?”
“He left about fifteen minutes ago. And yes, he took all his shit with him.”
“Damn it!”
“So what, ya brought me here for nothin’?” Vito exclaimed. “That’s bullshit! Gimme my money and take me home!”
“I’m not paying you. You didn’t do shit!”
Vito took a seat at the table. “I ain’t leavin ‘til I get some money!”
“Novak, just pay him so he can get the hell out of here. I don’t want-“ Bam stopped just as Missy walked in the door.
“Why the hell is he here?” Missy shouted. “I thought you said he wasn’t coming over anymore unless it was important.”
“I didn’t bring him over here, Novak did! Yell at him!”
Missy glared at Novak.
“Hey, Warden.” Novak said nervously. Ville let out a giggle. He'd never seen Bam or any of his friends look so fearful of someone. Especially someone as tiny as Missy.
“GET HIM OUT!” she shouted.
“Well I kinda owe him money, but I’m broke at the moment.”
“Here.” she said, shoving a fifty in Novak’s hand. “Now get him out.”
“Thanks, Warden.” Novak said handing the money to Vito and shoving him out the door.
“Whatever.”
“Hey Miss, I dunno if you noticed, but we have company.” Bam said.
“Oh great. Another one of your friends have come to wreck the house and drink all the beer. That’s exactly what we need.”
“Actually, I think Ville’s my only friend with manners. Anyway, Ville, this is Missy, and Missy, this is Ville.” Missy opened her mouth to speak, but Bam cut her off. “Yeah, he’s the one from HIM. They’ve been on tour and he finally got some time off, so he decided to come visit. He’s gonna be staying here for a while.”
“It’s nice to meet you.” Ville smiled as he shook her hand.
“Okay, so maybe you do have one decent friend. Oh, Babe, I forgot to tell you, but I have to go visit my mom for a week. I’m leaving tonight at five and I should be back next Saturday around eleven in the morning.”
