It's definitely good that he's making friends. Maybe you should try to do more of the same. Spend more time with your friends or try to cultivate new ones. Brian filled up a substantial part of your time over the last 5 months and now you don't want to just spend that time alone. Get out there yourself!

I'm glad you're being supportive. :)

I want to talk to you, but I'm about to play a game so I'll have to text you.

I agree with the poster above about spending time with your friends while Brian's gone. Having something to fill your days and keep you busy will help--even if you miss Brian as much as ever, you'll have something else to do instead of just feeling sad. You're right that it's good that Brian's making friends--friendships and connections in the workplace can be very useful--but you'll feel better if you have people to spend time with as well. You said Brian's training class gets out late tomorrow, which would be a good night for you to make plans for yourself. Have some Gabbi time and spend some time with people you enjoy, and/or doing things you enjoy. Take care of yourself, okay? *hugs*

kissingdaylight is absolutely right, Gabbi. You need to be your own person and not simply "Brian's girlfriend, Gabbi." There's more to you than being the extension of another person and spending time apart, with other people, will give you new impressions to share when you meet up again. Just sitting alone and watching TV, feeling sorry for yourself sounds a little pathetic, to be honest. You can't wait for fun things to just happen to you, as they never do. You have to get out there. Chase happiness down and grab it by the throat, squeeze every last bit of breath out of it.
