I mean, REALLY hot.  So hot when you put your foot down, you can feel the heat radiating through your shoes.

Enter Ivan Vorpatril, noble rescuer of cats. He's dragging his feet a little -- this heat would make anyone slow down, even his hyperactive cousin Miles. When he notices the black form under a tree, he goes to investigate and crouches down beside the cat. He offers a hand to sniff.

**Thackery barley lifts his head, sniffs his hand, and lets out a tiny mewl towards him**

Is the cat hurt? Or sick? Ivan doesn't see any blood. Ivan scoops up the cat and looks him over for obvious injuries, but doesn't see any. He settles the cat more comfortably in his arms. "Let's go somewhere cooler."

"Meeooow!" Thackery mewled at the sound of cooler air, as he continued to pant in the hot hot heat, glancing up at him.

Nala was also a little under the heat that was beating on her today. But when she sees the small cat collapse, she fears for the worst and charges over to him.

Thackery is now moaning in the heat, glancing up at the lion, who seems to be fading in and out of his view right now.

This doesn't look good one bit. Nala knew heat exhaustion when she saw it and knew how to take action. She gently grabbed the back of Thackery's neck and jogged off, knowing that there was some nice shade and a lot of water to drink.

Hello! The world is now bobbing below his feet, but somehow he feels comfortable in the grip of the lion's teeth, so he starts to relax...just a bit.

Thackery mews up at James, his fur now dripping wet with water, which causes him to swish his tail slightly.

Sebastian will never decline a cat in distress. He picked up the black cat to save it's precious paws from the hot burning street and held the feline in his arms.

"There, there, my friend. I got you. ♥"

Sebastian! How can you not be hot in this heat?

"Where I'm from it's spring, summer, autumn, and winter all at once, all year around." The demon said, finding humor and irony in his statement.

Of course, he meant in Hell, it's flaming hot for eternity.

"Oh your poor toesies." He said, carrying the kitty by wrapping an arm underneath the body, carrying Thackery close. The demon speaking in a cutesy voice. "Let's go to an ice cream shop where we can cool off, shall we?"
