[Hei's slowly starting to get used to how open the city is. As free from the Syndicate as he could be, he wasn't worried very much at all about himself. He's been worried about his friend who got left behind, whose life was in danger

[Hei would then hear the telltale sound of someone placing themselves next to him according to the seating. The green-haired boy actually had heard the entire conversation while he had walked by and decided to indulge in some food. Free food, the former God-General corrected himself with a grin--and if the man did in fact give him some when he requested for a dish.]

"It sounds strange, don't you think? Could it be it is the same for everything else here?"

[Sync spoke to Hei, as the man gave him the food--he seemed relaxed about this whole thing but in a way he was convinced that this had to be some kind of strange afterlife. Even if it were called a 'nexus', it was just too convenient and he knew he couldn't be brought back to life by being sent here after his death. So obviously, he was dead and that was that. Although, he never thought it would be like this -- he wondered if he could still use his abilities here; he still felt hunger though...was the afterlife designed to make them feel human?]

[Hei showed the young man a smile as he sat down. The newcomer would have probably notice the manager picking up three stacked plates before returning to the kitchen to get him the fourth alfredo dish in a row.]

I'd say it could... I've never been to a city this friendly. [As soon as the plate and silverware are placed on the counter, he digs in.]

[Sync did not start on his own dish of noodles right away, as he could see that they were certainly steaming hot. He mentally noted that the dark-haired man appeared to be a voracious eater; perhaps he got out more than he appeared to?]

Neither have I. Apparently, it is called a 'nexus'.

[The green-haired boy pauses, looking back at his food -- thinking and wondering if Van had succeeded; just because he saw an older-looking Anise here doesn't mean in his universe, his world, that they hadn't succeeded.]

[Sync might probably be in for a surprise as to how much this guy eats! Serving number four is just the beginning. After swallowing the first few bites, Hei responded.]

[He stares, only understanding only every other thing that is said. The manager, however.] There is no poison! I've checked and checked carefully. I do not know what reading material you are talking about, young lady, but if there was food poisoning going on around here, I would have discovered it long before today! [crosses his arms] Infinity may be a mysterious city to stay in, but it does not draw in guests just to kill them.

[All the while Mr. Manager is speaking, Hei's gently removing said young lady off of him. There's nervousness on his seemingly innocent face as he glances to her.] Ah... I think he's right, ma'am. [See the small pile of empty dishes nearby him?] I mean, I don't feel sick.

[What is this Saiunkoku Monogatari she speaks of, anyway? Hei's certainly never heard of it. ...Not that he reads much to begin with on his world while constantly on the move and killing people or blowing up buildings.]
