I did get back.

Dec 20, 2010 17:09

At 2am.

After having to change planes and other exciting things. Oh they were exciting.

Anyway, I'm home, I'm tired, but there's underfloor heating and the view (snow, snow and more snow) is magnificent.

Hopefully I'll be more comprehensible after I sleep.

christmas, ireland 10, weather, travel, family

Yay for your return. Massive celebrations will commence when you are more conscious.

Will there be booze? I think I could handle some booze.

Booze in abundance to celebrate your safe return. Will be going to Costco with a big truck.

I've been thinking about you today - while looking at pictures of people rolled into aluminium blankets at british airports...

Glad you made it. I hope there has been plenty of sleep (or booze) in the meantime :-).

Happy holidays, Dear!

They probably only gave them to those who had to stay for over 24 hours ;-).

Lots of waiting around in the cold and seat reservations not available for technical reasons. But at least we didn't get stuck in the snow? Plus lots of worrying whether I turned off the stove at home and how much resistance my balcony door puts up against determined burglars. They don't know there's nothing much worth stealing!

Did you get a seat? Or have to make do with the floor? I've sat in the vestibule between carriages for 3 hr at one time or another.

Glad you got home in the end and I'm sure the burglars won't bother you. They've probably read about your murderous washing machine and shelving unit and are too scared to visit.
